Hualien & Taitung | 5-Day East Coast Odyssey

Five days on Taiwan's wild east coast — marble gorges, Pacific cliff roads, indigenous kitchens and rice-valley hot springs, in a private van with your own guide.

The east coast is Taiwan unplugged. Between the Central Range and the Pacific, Hualien and Taitung hold the island's deepest landscapes and oldest cultures. This five-day private journey threads Taroko's marble canyons, the ocean highway past Qingshui Cliffs, Amis and Bunun communities that cook and sing the way their grandparents did, and the slow rice towns of the East Rift Valley. Nights are spent in carefully chosen small hotels and hot-spring inns. Your licensed guide handles every logistic — you just go deep.

Highlights

  • Taroko Gorge marble canyon walks (trail conditions permitting)
  • Qingshui Cliffs and the Pacific coast highway
  • Indigenous home-style dinner with an Amis family
  • East Rift Valley: Chishang rice paddies by bicycle
