Taichung Downtown Free Walking Tour: History & Culture

Our pay-what-you-wish introduction to Taichung's old town — train station grandeur, Miyahara, hidden shrines and the streets where bubble tea began.

Two hours, one historic square kilometre, zero fixed price. This is our love letter to old Taichung: the 1917 railway station, the ophthalmology-clinic-turned-pastry-palace Miyahara, alley shrines, mid-century signboards and the teahouse that shook the world's first bubble tea. Led by the same licensed guides as our private tours — if you enjoy it, tip what it was worth and tell a friend.
